Containers of food – near the water bowls on the bench.

There are two types of foods, just mix a bit of each in each bowl.

No set feeding time.  Just need to make sure the two food bowls on the ground in dining area have food in them. The cats will just graze whenever. 

Treats

Each evening Fergus has a bit of meat and the others have a little treat.

Meat – the little grey one (Fergus) has a handful of beef each night, he’ll start following you around if you don’t give it to him!  

We have made up little containers for each day.  You just need to take one out of the freezer each day and put it onto a plate for him on the ground.  Oreo will try to come and eat it, so you may need to distract him with a treat or fend him off!

Treat – Candy and Oreo share a cat treat.

Water

Just give them a little rinse and change the water each day.

Eyes

There is a packet of make up pads that I use to clean their eyes.

Oreo and Fergus need this everyday.

Candy and Felix maybe every 2-3 days or so.

To clean their eyes:

  • Use about 4 little make up pads, wet 3 of them under the tap
  • Sit the cat on your lap or on a bench (When they see you wetting the eye pads they run off so may need to do this by stealth!)
  • Wipe from inside to outside of eyes gently to loosen up the eye gunk
  • I usually use one pad for each eye and the last wet once just to go over them again and then a dry one.

Brushing

Fergus loves a brush….just for fun!

You don’t really need to worry about Candy or Felix.

Oreo has sooooo much hair!  It’s everywhere, you can brush him and get so much off him but it just keeps coming!  I try to brush him every day or 2 just to keep the hair he sheds down, though I don’t really know it helps!  He tries to walk away when you do it….

Litters

Need to clean the litter trays each day so it doesn’t smell like cat wee!  Four cats means a lot of wee.

There are two litter trays in the bathroom.  

In the bathroom cupboard you’ll find:

  • Blue litter tray pads
  • Small plastic bags
  • Garbage bags
  • Spray and wipe
  • Air freshener

Poo – just use toilet paper to put it in the toilet and flush it way.  That toilet in the bathroom isn’t amazing so may need two flushes.

Here is the process:

  • Get 2 news blue pads out and a garbage bag.
  • Each morning use the little spade to mix up the kitty litter vigorously
  • Then I spray and wipe the tray sides etc if needed.
  • Slide the little tray bottom out and roll up the pad with used litter, place in garage bag
  • Spray and wipe the bottom tray and put new blue pad on, folded in half
  • Spray some air freshener around!
  • Tie up the garage bag and take it to the Refuse room.
